NO REAL WORLD TRADING! Real world trading is not allowed, you will be permanently banned without warning!
Real world trading, would be selling in-game content for in real life
money. This is against the terms and conditions of Dungeon Realms and is
prohibited, if you decide to break this rule you will be permanently
banned from your IP address and your account will be deleted preventing
you from joining the game ever again, there is no way to appeal the
What is Real World Trading?
It is a virtual economy (or sometimes synthetic economy) is an emergent
economy existing in a virtual persistent world, usually exchanging...
This includes the exchange or items outside the game, for items inside
NO EXPLOITING BUGS OR GLITCHES! This is an automatic permanent ban.
Exploiting bugs and or glitches, could cause severe damage not only to the server but for the players, if you decide to cheat the system in any way that is basically abusing bugs and glitches, Exploiting them would be sharing the glitch/bug with other players, it is not okay for you to do this, it is an automatic banishment and you will be punished severely, anything that seems out of the ordinary or doesn't seem to fit the game right, please submit a bug and glitch thread in the designated area on the forums. Another note is that failure to report a known bug and inform other players of its details, also warrants a ban.
- Knowingly using the visual glitch of Crouching while still being able to do normal MC actions is NOT allowed. (we understand how its done but advise against using it) This appears as a hack and wastes our time investigating to determine if you are hacking or not.
- On first offense you will be Kicked with a warning (reason)
- Then temp banned if used again.
Exploiting Game Mechanics
Exploiting game mechanics can also result in a ban - this includes attacking through zones (ie, attacking a player in a Chaotic zone from a Wilderness zone) as well as using /suicide to give other players a Chaotic Status.
What is an Exploit?
An exploit, in video games, is the use of a bug or glitches, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc... by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game’s designers.
NO AVOIDING BANS USING ALTERNATE ACCOUNTS Permanent Ban, no warning! Your account will be deleted entirely.
Breaking the rules means you can't access DungeonRealms on any and all accounts. Logging in with another account will get that account banned permanently - no exceptions. You will not get a refund for your alt account if you decide to log in during your ban duration.
Regarding Teamspeak Bans
Bear in mind this rule also applies to Teamspeak bans - should you use a form of proxy in order to avoid a Teamspeak ban you will have your MC account banned from the server for the duration of your Teamspeak ban.
NO HACKING OR CHEATING! Permanent Ban, no warning! Your account will be deleted entirely.
Hacking and or cheating in the game of Dungeon Realms is severely prohibited, hacking would be making the game a bit unstable to give you an advantage in the game, cheating would be making yourself OP or even just breaking the game’s code to give you free items, or to make everything very weak compared to you.
What is Cheating and Hacking?
Cheating in online games is an activity that modifies the game experience to give one player an advantage over others.
NO NON-PERMITTED MODS! NO NON-PERMITTED MODS!
[Example of permitted mods: Optifine, Rei’s & Zans MiniMap, Player / Entity Radars]
[Example of non-permitted mods: Fly, Speed, Mine, Wall Hacking Mods / Clients, Spam Clickers (including macros), Chest Finders/Radars, Player finders (i.e.: that work through walls, in game, not through a radar) , ANY 'Hacked Client' ]. Breaking this rule will result in a Permanent Banishment. (Appeals may be posted up to a year later)
Mods are things that you can add to Minecraft that can make you benefit
from the game, it is also known as cheating to many servers including
this one, there are some mods that are totally okay with Dungeon Realms
that are listed above, but the non-permitted mods are the ones that will
get you in trouble, if we ever catch you doing this you will be
What is Modding?
Modding is a slang expression that is derived from the verb "modify". Modding refers to the act of modifying hardware, software, or virtually anything else, to perform a function not originally conceived or intended by the designer.
TRICKING/LURING PLAYERS IS PROHIBITED! You will receive one warning, then after that it is a temporary banishment.
Tricking players isn't aloud on Dungeon Realms, this includes luring people to their death, we do not believe that this is part of the game therefore making it against the rules. Should you continue to do this after a number of temporary banishment's, your account may be wiped and/or permanently banished - anyone assisting you will also be punished!
What is Luring?
To tempt a player to do something or to go somewhere, generally by offering some form of reward, before abusing game mechanics to kill them. For Example: Going into chaotic knowing that your nameplate is red with the intention of getting other players chaotic, by tricking them.
SCAMMING PLAYERS IS PROHIBITED! You may receive one warning, else you will be issued with temporary banishment.
Scamming is when you take something from someone without finishing the transaction completely, kind of like me offering 25 gems when we first trade, quickly taking out 5 gems and scamming you for what I just bought, or offering to trade a player armor for a weapon, then receiving the weapon and not giving them the promised armor.
What is scamming?
To swindle someone by means of a trick.
It is vital to note that the rules pertaining scamming do not cover casinos and similar player-run establishments unless clear evidence is supplied. As a general rule of thumb, if you do not trust the dealer, then do not gamble, as they will not be subject to punishment should they scam you and you are unable to prove it. Hazy screenshots that do not provide clear indication of scamming will not resolve in a punishment, though scamming of any type is not acceptable.
NO RACIST / SEXIST JOKES! You may either be warned or banned, depending on the severity of your offense.
This has always been a recurring problem, with beliefs or race, color. It does not matter what you are, who you are, you are you, and if somebody has a problem with it, or does something that sounds racism in any way, take a picture and post it on the forums, it is not tolerable and it will be a bannable offense after the first it will be a temporary banishment, if the problem happens again you will receive a permanent banishment.
What is Racism?
Prejudice or discrimination directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief.
What is Sexism?
Prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of gender.
NO HARASSING OTHER PLAYERS! First time is a warning, every other time may result in a temporary banishment.
Harassing players, would be considered as bullying, meaning you are not leaving them alone, and constantly bugging them about a situation or their beliefs, this is not aloud and you will be warned the first time, if this proceeds your banishment will be temporary, and after that it is a permanent banishment. Flaming/Flame Baiting
Anyone who is found to be flaming and/or flame baiting other players may also be subject to punishment, especially should this be a repeated offense.
What is Harassing?
Make repeated small-scale attacks on another player.
NO DISRESPECTING MEMBERS OF STAFF! The punishment for the breaking of this rule will vary depending on the severity of the offense.
Do not disrespect members of staff. This includes trolling them with regards to breaking the rules. If you state that you have broken a rule, expect to be punished! If you have not broken said rule, you are simply wasting the time of GMs (Admins) and PMODs (Player Moderators), and this is not acceptable, so whether you are joking or not, you will be punished.
NO ARGUING WITH MODERATORS! Player Mods, Game Mods, and Administrators, will always have the last word in a
conversation, don’t try to argue to get it your way, it may result in a punishment. Note: Any item loss will not be refunded, this is beta and therefore we are still working out all the problems! Don’t blame it on the staff!
Note: Any item loss, that does NOT still exist in game, will not be refunded, Don’t blame it on the staff
PROFANITY OVER GLOBAL OR LOCAL CHAT IS PROHIBITED! First time may result in a warning or mute, every other time will result in a temporary mute or banishment.
Excessive profanity over Global or Local chat disrupts people's gameplay, making it almost impossible for them to enjoy the game - this is not allowed and you will be punished for it.
What is Profanity?
Vulgar, blasphemous or obscene language.
Roleplay (RP) Server Rules
NOTE: All above server rules also apply to the Roleplay server.
TALK IN CHARACTER (IC) IN LOCAL CHAT
This means speaking as though you are an adventurer in Andalucia, as opposed to a person playing on a computer. If you want a rough guideline, use a similar tone to the NPCs, and speak as they do.
USE PERIOD APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE
Dungeon Realms follows both a fantasy and a medieval genre, and so words like ‘noob’, and expressions like ‘lol’ would not exist. Equally, ensure that you use correct grammar when talking in character - use of l33t speak is not permitted.
TALKING OUT OF CHARACTER (OOC)
Should you wish to speak out of character (OOC) in order to inform someone of something, put parentheses around what you are saying for example: (( one sec, I have to take a phone call, brb )). If you need to speak in OOC excessively, use PMs.
